There were three of us to eat there today. The atmosphere is getting used to, but comfortable despite the age. The landlord was very friendly, the food was served quickly and hot. Very good taste, richly prepared so that you are more than satisfied and satisfied. Come again, to be recommended!

My wife had wished for a roast goose during the Christmas holidays. Here on the menu of the Red Ox we found him, and since the prices of the dishes were quite high, we hoped for a good kitchen. But what came next was a single disaster! The roast goose was inedible, the crust rock hard, the meat extremely tough and dry. The salad was sour. My vegetarian dish with the thick patties tasted so bland that after a short time I did not want to continue eating.

There are a variety of dishes. They taste very good. The staff and the host is very friendly. He also has a "Kifferschinken" on offer.

A sausage salad Swiss style is not a feat, one would like to think. Unfortunately, this was very roughly cut, the cheese also, but there were lots of onion and the whole was just too sour, for € 10.80 overpaid.

The pictures are all ancient. It looks like a dive bar. Totally run down. There are stars for good food. However, plenty of time should be brought along for this. Well, the landlord is already over 70. If you don't mind the ambience, you are in good hands there.

The food is very rich flavored and enough to feed a person. I have a big appetite and wasn't able to clear the plate. I have not tried every food of the menu, but I did try several dishes since we were traveling in a group of 40 people. They even managed to have our lunch ready on time for us all to eat together (we told them when we will visit). Furthermore the people working there give of a nice atmosphere. I will not give 5 stars because the toilets consist of just 1 toilet each gender, which isn't optimal for a large group of people.

Oldest house v.1273 ........ Food super delicious and very plentiful, good quality, regional goods .... the other meals at the neighboring tables looked very recommendable. According to the other guests, everything was delicious. Nice host and service. Take out sausage / ham. This place is not such a fancy pub! Simple but great!

We were there with 6 people in early October 17. Only the beer was good, the food was of poor quality and without any taste. In addition, no food was warm, lukewarm with goodwill. The canned salad. But the plates were overcrowded, if you want to put huge portions without quality and a lot of money for it, this is the place for you.

Not very friendly service, and one of the ordered dishes was not edible. Instead of apologizing and possibly offering a replacement meal, we had to listen to insults and insults from the host. The full price was also charged. Through his behavior, the landlord made sure that we remember the trip to Nördlingen very badly.

Quantity does not replace quality !!! The menu is completely oversized - no one can prepare so many dishes freshly. The food was too much, the taste too little, the price too high. I have rarely eaten worse than in the Red Ox, despite the friendly service.

Eating the rustic top class. Absolutely fresh ingredients, mostly regional. Wild, at least partially, fresh from the hunter. The ambience is in need of improvement but quality and taste make up for it many times.
